Because of the complexity of his designs, Monte uses state-of-the-art technology throughout much of the production process. This has now led him to employ digital design and three-dimensional printing procedures to achieve what would otherwise be virtually impossible via traditional sculpture techniques. The procedure starts with free hand sketches and drawing board layouts . Pencil drawings are then translated to digital 3D conceptual components and eventually to the finished digital file that is programed into the printing process . The finished model is then moulded and proceeds into the lost wax bronze casting technology.
