Tear Fire Sculpture
TEAR FIRE was created utilizing a previously unheard of method of clay lathing. The body of the sculpture is in the form of a geometrically perfect tear drop that could only be achieved utilizing a machining technology invented by the artist himself. All of the “fire" was then carved into the tear drop shape. The sculpture incorporates all four elements of life in the physical plane according to ancient shamanic lore.
Earth: The use of bronze as the body of the structure.
Air: The spaces between the shards of the flame.
Water: The basic shape of the tear drop form.
Fire: The three shards of the flame.
Some of the patinas incorporate the representation of infinite, deep starry space.
Each of the deep space patinas are different and are meticulously hand painted and air brushed by the artist himself.
This is a reflection of the artist’s spiritual belief in the eternal and infinite light of all life .
